Landau Ltd have launched the Remembrance Garden Project which will see the creation of an informal garden to be enjoyed by the community. The garden, which will include the planting of both plants and vegetables, will be located at Landau Ltd's Waterside Drive site in Stoke-on-Trent.
This project will give veterans the chance to use their gardening, building and carpentry skills. The end result being a fantastic garden for all to enjoy. Marc Goodwin has joined Landau and will be managing the project. Marc is himself a veteran of the Household Cavalry with service from 2006 to 2012.
Both Cllr Maxine Clark and Jack attended the launch. Jack said:
"I was humbled to receive an invite to the Remembrance Garden Project launch. It is so important that we never forget the sacrifice made by those in our armed forces. The Remembrance Garden Project is in my opinion amazing. It offers veterans a chance to put their skills to work and create something positive that will not only benefit them but also our community.
The launch was a fantastic opportunity for me to speak with members of the team at Landau Ltd and discuss the work that has gone into putting the project together. I also managed to speak with some of the veterans and hear both their personal stories and also the positive impact being part of the project is having on them."
