This week, Jack Brereton MP joined local Councillors and business owners visiting the new Longton Community Garden.
The community garden which is now open to residents was previously an eyesore for Longton and in need of urgent regeneration. This area has now been transformed into a Community Garden for residents to enjoy.
Jack Brereton MP said:
"It was great to be able to visit the Longton Community Garden this week which is now open to residents.
This was previously a rat infested site and a total eyesore which has now been turned into a new community garden for Longton. The wall is also set to be decorated with artwork in the new year. The garden includes a war memorial which offers a place to remember and reflect on those who have served our country."
The community garden is part of our efforts to transform Longton and improve our area, as part of the wider investment plans we have for the town centre.
