Jack Brereton MP visited Trentham House Care Home on Friday to unveil their new multi-faith worship centre as part of their expansion to allow staff, residents, and visitors to find comfort in thought whilst thinking of loved ones.
Jack Brereton MP met with Edward Twigge (Director), Tim Beech (Deputy Manager), Teresa Moore (Joint Care Manager), and Nikki Oliver (Unit Manager) to learn more of the work they are doing to improve the care home since its renovation programme.
This is the latest improvement following significant investment and transformation of the care home over the last few years since it’s new ownership. the new multi-faith worship centre was unveiled by Jack and the team. The new worship centre will allow people to find comfort in times of solace and is available to anyone and everyone visiting, living and working in the home.
The care team were also keen to share more about the educational programme in partnership with Staffordshire University to help train carers into Associate Nurses roles; roles which will see a carer significantly develop their skills into a fully qualified clinical role after training
Following the visit, Jack Brereton MP said:
“It was a privilege to visit Trentham House Care Home today for the unveiling of their new multi-faith worship centre, something which I know will give a great comfort to those living, working and visiting the care home.
It was also fantastic to hear that Trentham House Care Home has achieved accreditation for End of Life care, one of only two homes in Stoke-on-Trent to receive this award, demonstrating the very high standards of care being provided.
It was great to meet some of the wider team responsible for care provision within the home and to see the incredibly dedicated care they give to their residents. It was also fantastic to hear of the work they are doing to help upskill the care and nurse workforce, providing some amazing training opportunities in social care.”
