Jack Brereton MP has congratulated the North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, which has been awarded an 'outstanding' rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the healthcare it provides to local people.
England's Chief Inspector of Hospitals has graded the Trust Outstanding following inspections in recent months by the CQC. The Combined Trust provides a range of inpatient and community mental health services to adults, older people and children in North Staffordshire, and this month's report marks the progress that has been made since 2017, when the Trust was rated 'Good' overall.
Jack said: "I am delighted that the Trust has been rated ‘Outstanding’. This is down to the dedicated hard work of clinicians and other staff who are providing excellent care on a daily basis.
"It is fantastic to see that our mental health services locally have improved so dramatically. It is essential that we continue to support our NHS so that everyone who needs it can access the highest standards of care across the board."
