Jack Brereton MP along with the MP for Stoke-on-Trent Central, Jo Gideon and the Leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Cllr Abi Brown, were pleased to welcome the Minister of State for Media and Data, John Whittingdale MP, to Stoke-on-Trent.
We had the chance to meet with the Minister and the BBC at the Stoke Town Hall. This gave us the opportunity to set out some of the fantastic opportunities Stoke-on-Trent has to offer and set out some of the things we have been doing to improve our city.
Jack Brereton MP said:
“Stoke-on-Trent has so much to offer, especially the growing number of people with digital and computing skills locally, I am pleased the Minister and representatives from the BBC got to hear more about the fantastic opportunities being developed in our city. It is vital we continue to build on the successes we are seeing in developing the digital and gaming sector in Stoke-on-Trent, we need to continue to strengthen and attract more of this new fast growing industry to locate in our city, providing the high quality opportunities we want to see for the future.”
This latest visit from the Minister of State for Media and Data is another example of the Government's recognition for our Stoke-on-Trent across different Government departments.
