I met with Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak this week, to discuss the new Stoke-on-Trent prospectus (https://www.stoke.gov.uk/info/20012/business/405/powering_up_stoke-on-t…). He was very receptive to the ideas within, and pledged to work with the Treasury to progress our key aims in transport, high street regeneration, and job-making.
In Rishi we have someone who understands the need to level up opportunities and appreciates the huge potential of cities like Stoke-on-Trent. I'll continue to lobby the Government for the investment we need to improve local quality of life.
