The roadmap out of lockdown continues today, with stage two coming into force. This is thanks to everyone's continued efforts to drive down the virus and the fantastic success in rolling out vaccines.
Stage 2
(12th April)
- Non essential shops (including hairdressers, beauty salons) to open
- Gyms to reopen
- Outdoor hospitality (eg Pub gardens) to reopen
- Zoos and theme parks to reopen
- Libraries and community centres to reopen
While this is very welcome, the guidelines Hands, Face, Space have not changed, make sure to wear a mask in indoor public spaces and social distance at all times if possible. The Rule of Six is also still in force, so you can only meet outside in groups of six or two different households.
We are beating the virus with our vaccine rollout and testing scheme, but we can't be complacent. Enjoy yourself but keep all the guidelines and rules in mind.
