During the summer recess, I like to take the opportunity to join our local Councillors in their wards to support them is the excellent work they are doing representing their community.
Recently, I joined Cllr Faisal Hussain for a drop-in surgery at the Meir Community Centre. These surgeries are always a great way for residents to speak with their local MP and Councillor.
We both also carried out a litter pick in Meir. Thanks goes to all those who helped on the day and for all those who have continued to volunteer in our communities to keep the city clean and tidy.
Cllr Hussain has and continues to work extremely hard for residents in, Meir South and Lightwood.
