Jack Brereton MP recently took to the streets to join the Lightwood Community Speed Watch team.
The Lightwood Community Speed Watch team is made up of local residents who volunteer their time towards the Community Speed Watch. Jack joined the team in helping do their part to tackle local speeding and reduce risk in the area.
Jack said:
"I enjoyed being able to get out and join the new Community Speed Watch team in Lightwood.
I know from speaking to residents and as a resident of Lightwood myself that speeding on roads in Lightwood, such as Lightwood Road itself, is a concern. Speeding puts both the driver and others in danger. The consequences can both ruin and take lives.
The team of residents locally are doing a fantastic job in stopping speeding through our area and saving lives. It is always encouraging to see any form of community spirit play a part in keeping our community safe.
